Coach Jack has an unrivaled passion for the fight game with over 20 fights and 13 years of experience. Jack has been a competitive athlete his entire life and has been training Martial Arts since high school. Throughout college Jack competed in MMA and trained Muay Thai and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu at The Renaissance Academy of Martial Arts (Team RAM) under Kru/Professor Jamie Ridgeway; earning his BJJ blue belt in 2010. Jack won fights in several large amateur fight promotions on the east coast all while earning his Bachelors degree in Exercise Physiology. Training and fighting nurtured his competitive spirit but also fostered a passion for teaching. After college Jack moved to Charlottesville Virginia where he met Coach Jake (owner, head instructor at The House of Muay Thai) training at The MMA Institute, Jack continued to compete in Muay Thai and MMA fights and assisted Coach Jake in running their schools Muay Thai program. The two became very close, helping coach some of Virginia’s top ranked fighters to multiple championships. Not long after he had left Charlottesville in 2014, Jake co-founded The House of Muay Thai here in Norfolk. Jack was the first call Jake made when looking to add a veteran striking instructor to help handle the growing student base at The House. Jack moved to Norfolk in June of 2015. Since then he hasn’t looked back; continuing to hone his craft daily both as a competitor and a teacher. He has coached several amateur MMA champions, East Coast and National Tournament Champions in Muay Thai and Kickboxing and is a active member of The House of Muay Thai competition team. He has served as Jake’s head competition coach for the last 4 years and cornered him in several high profile fights including Glory 32 in 2017. Come train with Coach Jack today.
