Jake is an active Muay Thai competitor and champion bringing 15+ years of practical experience to the House students and fight team. In 2014, Jake co-founded The House of Muay Thai in Norfolk, Virginia with a simple vision: to create a community for all martial artists passionate about Muay Thai to train and become champions, inside and outside of the ring.

Professor Semerzier is a Luiz Palhares Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu association member, a well-respected competitor, instructor, and mentor in the Hampton Roads area. A national amateur MMA champion, a professional competing in regional and national events like the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC). He returned to his love of teaching the art of BJJ. Master Luiz Palhares promoted Semerzier to 2nd degree Black Belt in 2018.

Octavian is a skilled Muay Thai fighter from PG County, MD, who began training during his junior year at Old Dominion University, graduating in 2020. An amateur who secured the 140 lbs and 147 lbs Warriors Cup National Title and the 140 lbs Thai Championship Boxing National Title, a member of Team USA for WKA and WBC, he has competed internationally against the top-tier. His passion for teaching stems from his extensive experience in the ring.

Heather started her martial arts journey at age five, influenced by the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and Power Rangers. She is a decorated and active competitor, with winning the expert division in NAGA (NY 15’), took a few MMA fights since 2011, competed in a handful of smokers and fights, and was the 2018 IKF Spring Eastern Champion in her division. Heather loves the lifestyle, and continues to train to improve her technique and stay in shape.
