Coach Heather started her martial arts journey at age five, influenced by the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and Power Rangers. She grew up practicing Isshinryu karate, and then started Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu in college at UVM. Heather was a decorated and active competitor, with her biggest accomplishment of winning the expert division in NAGA (NY 15’).
In 2010 her Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu coach opened a gym with a Muay Thai coach, and she instantly fell in love with Muay Thai.
Soon after she started competing, and took her first MMA fight in 2011. She took a couple more fights in Vermont before moving to Hampton Roads in 2015. She competed in a handful of smokers and fights, and was the 2018 IKF Spring Eastern Champion in her division. Heather loves the Muay Thai lifestyle, and continues to train to improve her technique and stay in shape.
